W.S. Brown, Jr., Ph.D.
W.S. Brown received his MA and Ph.D. at State University of New York at
Buffalo in 1967 and 1969, respectively.
Dr. Brown is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication
Sciences and Disorders. In addition, he is the Director of The Institute
for Advanced Study of the Communication Processes (IASCP) which is an interdisciplary
research facility. He teaches Speech Anatomy and Physiology (SPA 3101).
Dr. Brown's research activities interests include the phonetic analysis
of speech, normal and pathological processes of speech, and voice/speech
perception. In addition, his general area of interest is in Speech and
Voice Science.
